Who we are

Owned and run by a group of commercial property experts, we provide property consultancy services for owners, occupiers, investors, developers and financial advisors of property and associated assets.

Operating from offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Plymouth, Teesside and York we combine our knowledge and skills to provide complete property advice, ultimately making you and your business more successful.

The property industry continues to transform through influences in technology, culture and economy and we’re excited to be a part of the journey, making an impact where we can, and adapting when we need to.

For us, getting the right corporate responsibility, accreditations and office network in place is vital if our staff are to continue to provide our clients with award-winning advice. Securing ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001 and Cyber Essentials Plus have all been a way for us to demonstrate our high standard of service and ability to handle larger contracts. The hard work has paid off too, with several national contract wins with major UK brands over the past few years demonstrating that we are a genuine alternative to larger surveying firms.

We’re a company that’s been in property for centuries, ever since Thomas Hardwick set up his own property business in Leeds in 1833 and William Sanderson, a builder in Newcastle, started his business in managing estates and property in 1858.

Some 145 years later, their businesses had survived through the wars, experienced international success and acquired several other businesses, and in 2003 the two merged to become the name we are today; Sanderson Weatherall.

A lot has changed in the property industry since then, but in a market dominated by large international firms, we’ve kept hold of our local roots and continue to own and run the business ourselves.

We have nine local offices across the UK and 205 talented individuals working in them, helping owners, occupiers, developers, investors and financial institutions with property. We work hard, give honest advice, and love what we do.

Community

Our work directly and indirectly affects the way the wider community lives, behaves and develops and we firmly believe that our business should make a positive contribution to the society in which we live.

Our Community Investment Programme has been designed to support and encourage our teams to help local community organisations and activities in our regions and we are very proud of the amazing work they’re doing.
