Public Sector Procurement

Any Public Body can appoint Sanderson Weatherall directly without the need for entering the procurement process as we are registered suppliers on two major frameworks, which can also be used to appoint us through an OJEU compliant process.

The first of these is the Crown Commercial Services National Lot 1 RM3816 Estates Professional Services Framework which is available for use by any public body or registered charity within the UK.

The second is the Homes England Property Professional Services Framework which is also available for any public body to use in England.

Both frameworks offer competitive rates and a framework which has been selected based upon strict quality and pricing criteria and offer a quick and practical route to market for our public sector clients.

HS2 Advice

Sanderson Weatherall are the claimant’s agent. We have offices located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, enabling us to cover all areas affected by High Speed 2 (HS2). We have taken the decision not to act for HS2 and our specialist team of compulsory purchase experts continue to focus on working with owners and occupiers of affected sites.

Although elements of HS2 rail link seem years away, this is an issue that property owners and tenant occupiers should be planning for now.

Commonwealth Games 2022

Birmingham (Perry Barr – Commonwealth Games Athlete’s Village and Legacy) Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO)

In December 2017, Birmingham was announced as the host city of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, producing a large scale regeneration and infrastructure project that is to be completed within a relatively short time frame with the aid of compulsory purchase powers.

The scheme involves the compulsory acquisition of properties and land, in the Perry Barr area, for the development of the Athletes’ Village, upgraded transport links and general regeneration including new commercial and residential development.

The timetable links in with the intended completion of the majority of the SPRINT Bus Network project, with Transport for West Midlands providing improved public transport links into the city from Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull and Birmingham Airport.
