Mondego has recently opened their Leeds outlet at The Roundhouse Business Park. Since launching, the Portuguese ceramics retailer has proved an early success, attracting strong footfall and quickly establishing a loyal customer base, strengthening the Roundhouse’s appeal as a growing destination.

Building on this momentum, the historic former Engine Shed is set to become Leeds’ first city centre padel venue with new operators Ollo Padel revealing plans for five covered courts and four open courts complemented by hospitality and social spaces, retail outlets, a fitness studio & gym.

Sanderson Weatherall and Adair Paxton are joint letting agents at the Roundhouse.

Sanderson Weatherall also recently completed the roofing works at Roundhouse. The project was to repair the roof structure of the nineteenth century locomotive maintenance roundhouse and then strip and re-cover the roof in natural slate using both new Welsh slate of a suitable standard and re-use the existing slates where possible.

This scheme resulted in the building being nominated for the NFRC UK Roofing Awards 2024 and receiving the award for Best Slate Roof of the Year.
