Acting on behalf of a manufacturing company with their main factories located in South Yorkshire, supported by ancillary warehousing and distribution properties elsewhere in the UK, we provided extensive strategic advice to them in relation to a 30,000 square metre extension they were undertaking.

Advice revolved around the interaction of reliefs, effective dates and valuation matters and how best to ensure their position was protected. A series of inspections during the period of works, including one with the Valuation Office Agency, resulted in the proactive pre-agreement of a favourable valuation and beneficial dates for the client, ensuring their liability was kept to a minimum from the outset and saving them over £700,000.
