This summer, Ellie McNicholas joined our Newcastle Agency team as a trainee surveyor.

Ellie joins us as part of her sandwich year at Northumbria University where she is studying (BSc) Real Estate. Whilst with us, Ellie will be embarking on a varied role as she will do 4 months in the Commercial Agency team before getting valued experience in the Valuation, CPO and Rating departments. We hope this opportunity to vary her experience will give Ellie the chance to identify which aspect of the industry will suit her moving forward in her career, which in turn will help Ellie reach her goal of passing her APC to become a RICS Chartered Surveyor.

Sanderson Weatherall has had a longstanding reputation of taking placement year students and graduates from various Universities across the country to help broaden their experience. Through our training schemes we encourage all staff to participate in a practical, hands-on approach to learning, providing them with responsibility from the outset. As well as on the job training there are a number of opportunities available for students to develop both their professional and personal skills with courses, lectures and workshops covering a variety of areas including report writing, presentation skills, networking and all the various APC competencies.
