Lauren Deas, Associate Partner in our Newcastle office, has returned to the firm after three years working client side.

Lauren initially joined Sanderson Weatherall in 2009 as a Graduate Surveyor and has worked in both the Newcastle and Leeds offices in the Rating and Compulsory Purchase teams. Lauren returns following three years at Yorkshire Water.

On her return to Sanderson Weatherall, Lauren re-joined the Compulsory Purchase team in Newcastle, working alongside Richard Farr, Partner, and Liz McLoughlin, Partner.

Lauren commented “I’m enjoying being back with all the team and getting stuck into lots of interesting CPO cases. I have previously worked in Rating and CPO (at SW) and now have added a stint at Yorkshire Water broadening my experience dealing with different types of property assets, as well as things specific to the water industry, and easements etc.

“In my role at Sanderson Weatherall I will be dealing with and negotiating compensation claims on both sides of the fence – for claimants i.e. those affected by CPO schemes, as well as acquiring authorities taking land for development schemes.”

Richard Farr added, “Lauren is a real asset to the firm and our Compulsory Purchase team, and I’m delighted to have her back in the team. Lauren’s return is one of seven that we’ve seen over recent months, which is testament to the opportunities and company culture on offer here at Sanderson Weatherall. It’s great to have them all back.”
