Principal Purpose of Job

Resulting from the continued successful development of our London office, with expansion in all areas of the business and development of Building Consultancy, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Chartered Building Survey at Associate Partner level to work alongside our existing team and the Building Consultancy Division in general, to form part of a strong national presence. You will be involved mainly in commercial work undertaking all aspects of building surveying thereby providing a wide variety of work type and ability to promote the services of Building Consultancy within the multi-disciplinary office, and to promote this externally to be part of an ongoing business plan demonstrating growth.

Specific Duties and Details of Actual Work
To actively engage with existing and new clients to generate work and manage work.
Forge good relationship with SW teams in other offices.
Ensure best practice and compliance with legal requirements is adhered to at all times.
Ensure client care is a priority at times and that client requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
To ensure that all work is carried out competently, correctly and within the time required.
To ensure that the quality procedures and records are maintained.
To ensure fee value is maximised when providing interim accounts and details of fee recovery as required.

Qualifications/Experience
A minimum MRICS qualification
Strong client relationship skills
Practical understanding of commercial property and building surveying procedures
Strong verbal and numerical skills
Adept at report writing
A team player with an outgoing persona and excellent communications skills
Ability to work independently and also as part of team
Ability to work under pressure
Manage time and assist the team in meeting deadlines
Commercial acumen and knowledge of competitors and business strategies
A current full driving license is essential

Physical Conditions
The post will be based in our London office and must be prepared to travel to site on a regular basis. The majority of our current workload within our London office is within the M25, you will be expected to undertake work out with the M25 and assist in supporting specific projects in other offices throughout the division.

Job Development
All employees are expected to keep abreast of developments in Legislations and Property Regulations and must therefore be prepared to continually update their knowledge.
All surveyors must satisfy their continued professional development requirements of the RICS.
Career progression will be available to the right candidate.
