Principal Purpose of Job

To generate fees by servicing and maintaining current instructions at both local and regional level and assisting the Partners and Associate Partner in the delivery of their case load.

To actively promote the services and enhance the reputation of Sanderson Weatherall as a Practice.

Specific Duties and Details of Actual Work

To be responsible for provision of valuation reports including inter alia:-

Secured Lending Valuations

Accounts & Financial Statement Valuations

S119 Charities Act 2011 Valuations

Covering a wide variety of property classes including amongst others:

  • Residential and Commercial Investments
  • Industrial Property
  • Office Property
  • Retail Property
  • Development Opportunities
  • Public Sector Property
  • Healthcare Property
  • Licensed & Leisure Property

To ensure compliance with legal requirements.

To ensure the policy of Best Practice is adhered to at all times.

To ensure customer care is a priority at all times and that customer complaints are dealt with effectively and speedily.

To ensure QA (Quality Assurance) procedures and records are maintained.

To ensure that all work is carried out competently and right first time; within the timeframe set down.

To ensure fee management is maximised by providing interim accounts and details of fee recovery as required.

Qualifications/Experience

Must hold a degree or appropriate diploma, and ideally be a Member or Fellow of RICS and an RICS Registered Valuer, with experience in commercial property valuation.  She/he must have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.  A full driving licence is essential.

Familiarity with the MS Office core packages is an essential skill and familiarity with Argus Developer and KEL Investment Valuer preferred.

Physical Conditions

The post holder will be based at Newcastle but must be prepared to travel to other sites on a regular basis.

Job Development

All employees are expected to keep abreast of developments in legislation and property regulations and must therefore be prepared to continually update their knowledge.  Qualified staff must undertake Continual Professional Development.
