Our Leeds office is celebrating after two trainees have qualified as chartered surveyors. Dominic Towler and Matt Turner have become full members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) by passing the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) training.
Dominic, a Nottingham Trent University graduate, works within the highly successful agency team, dealing with commercial property in the Yorkshire region. Matt, who graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, works within the valuation department of the firm, based on Wellington Street.
Congratulating the successful candidates, David Rastrick, partner, said: “Everyone at the firm is very pleased that Matt and Dominic have successfully qualified as chartered surveyors. They have both proved themselves throughout their training to be extremely capable and their performances have been outstanding. We look forward to them further developing their careers with us.
“Our latest APC candidates have all passed their RICS Assessment of Professional Competence on their first attempt which is also fantastic news and a further testament to the quality of work, training and experience they receive, which is something the entire firm is very proud of.”
The APC consists of a written submission and a professional interview. These take place after acquiring at least two years’ relevant experience and completing a structured training programme, which provides a broad range of experience across different disciplines and departments.
Here at Sanderson Weatherall, candidates prepare for the assessment by taking part in mock interviews and receiving advice from external consultants on presentation and interview skills.
