The 0.3-acre site is located just off Linthorpe Road, one of the main arterial routes through the centre of Middlesbrough.
Planning permission has already been granted for a 72-bed student housing scheme on the site, which has been cleared ready for development.
Linthorpe Road is home to a number of restaurants, bars and shops which makes it an ideal location for students at Teesside University.
