In his last budget before the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, much of the focus of Philip Hammond’s speech was on the impact that Brexit will have on the UK economy, but what did yesterday’s announcement mean for business rates? In the North West during October our agency team brought to market a well-established and nationally renowned cabaret bar, nightclub and leisure venue situated over three locations in the heart of Blackpool.

Also in the North West we have made two key appointments. Our building consultancy team has been strengthened by the appointment of Guy Owen and our internationally recognised asset-based lending valuation and advisory team goes from strength to strength with the appointment of Heidi Otto.

Paul Wellstead, the developer of Spectrum Business Park, has commissioned a video which features stunning footage of the area and interviews with some of the many tenants who call the area home. You can watch the video here.

Jo Williams, partner in our Bristol office and chairman at Women in Property wrote a column on the importance of mentoring young business women. Jo commented, “Encouraging a strong pipeline of women through business is good for retention and good for business. We know that a clear career path, training and mentoring are really important and that retention of women is dependent on properly rewarding them throughout their career.”
