Tell us about your average day…
Typical morning, train to work (usual 10-15 minute delay thanks to Northern Rail) Nice hot Yorkshire Tea in the winter, (slightly healthier green tea in the summer to start the day off) Check to see if anything has come in over-night in relation to the properties I manage and deal with those, then crack on with the day! Whilst the role of a property manager is very busy, I like how varied it is from dealing with Landlords, tenants, agents, building surveyors and other stakeholders in the property market.
What social opportunities have you had at SW?
Lots of football tournaments, either weekly with colleagues, company wide or with other companies, I hope to get involved in the annual bike ride this year as well.
We hosted a summer party on the roof-top of our offices in 2019 as well which was a fun (but messy) evening.
What’s one of the most interesting projects you’re working on at the moment?
Slightly away from my working role but I have an interest into sustainability and social responsibility. I am working with the marketing team to promote both more around the business and get more awareness in regards to sustainability and more events up and running in regards to social responsibility.
Outside of SW & Property, what do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy playing football, going to the gym, bike rides, procrastinating about my APC, making changes to my fantasy football team and the occasional Otley run. I also enjoy the odd gin and tonic after work followed by a couple of shots of Patron XO. In the summer I also play some tennis.
What three words would you use to describe SW?
Inclusive, Varied & Busy.
