Mattioli Woods purchase Wakefield office building

Richard Dunn / 25 Sep, 19

Mattioli Woods Wealth Management has purchased an office building in Wakefield City Centre. The Cheapside property was marketed by the office agency team at Sanderson Weatherall, on behalf of a private client.

The 2,131 sq ft building was sold for £265,000 and benefited from some short-term income.

Richard Dunn, head of office agency at Sanderson Weatherall commented, “We are pleased to have sold this great office property after a successful marketing campaign. Mattiolo Woods made the purchase on behalf of a self-invested personal pension and we are sure it will prove to be a sound investment for them.

“The office space itself is good quality, with modern facilities and parking, making it a desirable option for an occupier.  It’s also ideally located in the centre of Wakefield, providing fantastic motorway connectivity and easy access to the cities of Leeds and Sheffield.

““Traditionally a strong player in the manufacturing, logistics and distribution markets, Wakefield also has an established business and professional services sector, with strong demand from regional occupiers who are particularly looking for small office accommodation. With an average rent of £11-£13 psf, the city is a cost-effective option for office occupiers in the region.””
