With deals completed across a number of sectors in February, we have continued our good start to the year. Here is a summary of our recent deals and instructions from across our office network.
Our Manchester agency team have finalised a number of deals across a variety of sectors in the region. Acting on behalf of corporate finance advisors, Duff and Phelps we sold a freehold residential investment in Liverpool in excess of the asking price. The team were also instrumental in the sale of a residential development site in Tintwistle and a 13,000 sq ft office space in Preston.
In the North East our Teesside agency team closed a deal on a 5,210 sq ft unit at Durham Lane Industrial Park within just one week of the property going on the market. Our North East retail agency team have recently been appointed as letting agents on 37 units at Hebburn Shopping Centre, a site which is currently undergoing a £2.4million refurbishment.
We were delighted to hear in February that the luxury hydrotherapy pool at the Alan Shearer Centre won a Gold SPATA award for ‘special requirement pool of the year’. Our building consultancy and architecture teams designed and developed the luxury facility, working alongside specialist pool designers and occupational therapists.
Research conducted by head of our Birmingham office, Peter Fowles has forecast that over the next four years an increase in new high quality office accommodation could see a raft of new occupiers moving into the city centre. Click here to view the full report.
In Yorkshire our industrial agents secured a 189,142 sq ft facility for Allied Glass, the newly refurbished property is located at Wakefield Europort, the leading logistics and distribution centre in the region. Our corporate real estate team completed the sale of a residential development site in Wakefield, the site is over 2.5 acres with valid planning consent for up 35 dwellings and was formerly a police driving school.
In the South West our agency team sold a ground rent investment on the site of the Ibis Hotel in Sawmills End, Gloucester. Acting on behalf of Litfield Land, the investment was sold to a private investor for £1.3million.
In Devon our planning team secured planning permission for the change of use of seven park homes from stationing holiday caravans to residential park homes. They have also prepared a number of planning appraisals for Papa John’s in towns across the UK including Plymouth, Torquay, Norwich and Sheffield.
