Last Thursday (25th May 2017) marked the first Estates Gazette Newcastle Question Time event at St James Park.
Following the previous success of the event across the UK, Estates Gazette announced their biggest line up of cities holding Question Time events in 2017. The events follow a similar format to BBC Question Time, as influential people in real estate are brought together to answer questions submitted from those living and working in the region.
At last Thursday’s Newcastle event Robert Patterson, head of our agency team, sat on the panel alongside the individuals listed below
•Pat Ritchie, Chief Executive, Newcastle City Council
•Ben Rodgers, Senior Development Manager, Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets
•Richard Wise, Partner, Ryder Architecture
•Adam Serfontein, Managing Director, Hanro Group
Robert commented, “It was an honour to be involved in last week’s EG Question Time event and it was great to discuss a number of topical and pressing issues affecting the real estate landscape in the North East.
“I felt it was a really interesting discussion with the panel made up of individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Particularly topical was the new science central development, a mixed use development scheme that is the largest of its kind in the UK.
“It was also discussed that with skylines changing across other major cities in the UK, there is a need for Newcastle to be more ambitious with its architecture.”
