August Deals Update

During July we were delighted to announce that we have been appointed as a supplier on the Homes England Property Professional Services Framework. The four-year contract was awarded to us and three sub-consultants; Wood Plc, Alder King and Resolution Property Surveyors, following a successful tendering process.

Alongside our joint sales and letting agents, GVA, our North East agency team has recently completed a number of sales at Northumberland Business Park, Cramlington. With a number of spaces still available you can read further information on the popular North East business park here.

In recent months there has been significant investment in Stockton-On-Tees with several office, residential, retail and leisure developments completed, or currently under construction. We have been appointed as joint agents on a fantastic retail development site with a variety of units that can be reconfigured to suit individual occupier requirements dependent on level of demand.

With the summer season in full flow our holiday and caravan park team have been particularly active with a number of deals completed across the country. Of particular note was the sale of Sea End Caravan Park in Crouch End, Essex which was sold in an off-market transaction on a guide price of £5.5million.

Following a successful period of marketing our specialist holiday and caravan park team also sold Lemonford Caravan Park, a developed holiday park with consent for 44 static caravans and 87 touring caravans.

The decline in the UK’s retail property sector has been a widely reported one, with a reduced footfall on high streets across the country, which has largely been attributed to consumers altering their purchasing patterns and shopping more online. Earlier this year it was announced by the government that schemes with fewer than ten homes would be able to apply for Permission in Principle (PiP). Our Leeds office agency team has recently been appointed to sell the long leasehold of Suite 4 at Arena Park, a high-quality office complex set within the peaceful tranquillity of rural surroundings.
