Our North East agency team have been named the most active in the region for the second time in five months.
The Estates Gazette Interactive Deals Competition is one of the commercial property sector’s premier recognition schemes. The accolade is awarded by the leading industry publication and reflects transactions completed throughout 2014. Unlike many competitors, we have agency experts based in both Newcastle and Teesside.
We attained first place last October in the same contest for their productivity between September 2013 and August 2014, securing this status for the third year running.
Our agency team advises clients including developers, investors, landlords and tenants, on disposals, acquisitions and development, in several sectors such as retail, industrial, office, business parks, hotel and leisure, and residential.
Commenting on the latest accolade, Robert Patterson, the firm’s head of agency, based at its Newcastle office, said: “We’re delighted to be top of the league again and to have served many clients during 2014, when the market was improving, but remained challenging. This distinction is deserved reward for our experts’ experience, knowledge, awareness of the local property scene and sheer hard work, as it confirms again they’re the best when it comes to filling buildings with tenants or buyers.”
During the year, Sanderson Weatherall’s North East agency specialists let or sold premises and land totalling over 1.65m sq ft. More than 860,000 sq ft of this was for industrial use, nearly 220,000 sq ft for office accommodation and over 175,000 sq ft for retail purposes. These totals made them the most active team in each of these categories, as well as overall.
The company’s agency experts strive to maximise financial outcomes for clients and be constantly alert to opportunities for, and threats to, them. Its specialists aim to understand clients’ needs and offer timely, commercially astute advice, which can provide them with a starting point for launching planning permission requests, building valuations or even corporate acquisitions.
